Microlight

is a very basic motorized flying vessel. , which is very easy to learn and use with basic motor structure can be for single or two persons. Command panel and indicator table is not complex. There is no importance of landing and take off runways, it can land and take off within short distances.

, can fly without motor like and glider after take off due to its aerodynamic structure. In this way, it can fly for longer hours with smaller amounts of fuel - oil.

flight is performed in our country like all . For flying with in , you should apply to Turkish or .

Flight via Balloon

Flight via balloon sport, whose initial existence in the world reaches to the end of , is also densely drawing attention in our country. For long years, as well as it is performed with the aim of , city tours with balloons are also performed during in touristic regions of our country.

Balloon takes off with heating of liquid propane gas filled into it. You can stay on air for long periods with a calm flight under appropriate wind (under 10 km/h). Directing balloon, whose appropriate flight height is between 500 - 1500 feet, altitude gain and loss, change its speed can be made easily by an experienced pilot easily.

Structure of the Balloon

There are propane gas tubes, altimeter, thermometer, wireless for communication with airport, variometer and in the basket, manufactured from “vimin”, generally a light and , and which carries the passangers of the balloon.

Propane tubes, with approximately 20 kg. weight each within the basket, includes propane gas maintaining the expand of the balloon. Each tube maintains an approximately 40 - 45 minutes of flight possibility to the balloon. Total lifting force of the balloon is around 1.700 pounds.

Taking off of the balloon is maintained with heating of propane gas filled into the balloon via furnaces under it. Furnaces can be 2 or 3 pieces according to the volume of the balloon. Heat within the balloon should never exceed 120 degrees.

For maintaining landing with stopping flight, red rope is pulled within it. In this way, activated falling valve maintains the air within it run out rapidly. In case of insufficiency of emptying speed of the internal air emergency hole at the top of the balloon is opened.

for Foreigners

Prior to the flight via balloon, air vessel to be flight , flight aim, flight date, flight hour, flight region is informed and applied to Ministry of Communication, General Directorate.

In case of a flight via balloon exceeding 15 days in our country; licenses of foreign pilots should be validated by Ministry of Communication, General Directorate.

?
Balloons operate through the basic principles of gravity and heat transfer. As air inside the balloon is heated, it rises. As the air inside the balloon cools, it descends. To make the balloon fly, an inflator fan fills it with air, which is then heated.

?
A hot air balloon has three major parts: the envelope, the burner, and the basket or gondola. The basket is where passengers ride. Usually made of wicker, baskets protect the occupants and are lightweight and flexible. The burner is positioned above the passenger’s heads and produces a huge flame to heat the air inside the envelope. The envelope is the colorful fabric bag that holds the hot air. When the air inside the envelope is heated, the balloon rises. To descend, the pilot allows the air to cool and the balloon becomes heavier than air. The pilot has complete control of the up-and-down movements by controlling the heat in the envelope.

?
Rip-stop nylon is the most common material, but polyester and other fabrics are also used. The fabric around the lower opening (called the mouth) of the balloon are usually made from a fire resistant material like Nomex, similar to the suits that firefighters wear.

?
Woven wicker is used because it is lightweight, flexible and easily repaired.

Are all hot air balloons alike?
All hot air balloons consist of a burner system, a basket and an envelope. The differences are in the shape and size of the envelope, the deflation system, the basket shape and design and the configuration, design, and number of burners.

?
Depending on the care given, a balloon envelope may last 500 or more flying hours. The basket will last much longer, perhaps thousands of flight hours with proper care.

?
Winds determine a balloon’s direction. Pilot can steer a balloon, to a limited extent, by adjusting the balloon’s altitude to make use of different wind speeds and directions.

?
Balloons are constructed with greater or lesser volume to carry more or less weight. The smallest passenger balloons carry just the pilot! The largest passenger transporter in operation has a capacity of 24 passengers plus the pilot. Our balloons are designed to carry between 6 and 16 passengers.

?

The actual flight time averages more than an hour.

?
Our hot air balloons carry 60 to 110 gallons (120 to 200kg) of propane in stainless steel fuel tanks. We expect to use roughly 75% of the fuel during a single flight.

Delta Wings

is a single person flight vehicle which can fly with wind and other air impacts and has no motor. Take off, stay on air and take off area is similar to paragliding . But there is more training period for flight. There is a person connected parachute for security.

Flight Regions

wing sport can also be performed at the places where paragliding can be performed.

Structure

Wings wing has approximately 25 - 30 kg weight, and 10 wing long when it is opened. (folded up standard 4 m) There are beginner, intermediate and advanced class wings. Beginner class training wings are used during training, when experience gained intermediate class wings can be used for flight. But for advanced , long time experience and are required. Wing is speed up when you come through advanced level in models, and control of the wing become harder.

Take Off beginning to flight in our country, is to run with shouldering wings from flight hill under appropriate . For gaining altitude, generally there must be hill facing, in other words coming from opposite direction, winds are required. In another method thermal, meaning hot ascending from ground, are used. While this hot air is ascending it rises circulating within it together.
